Last year, Nike Sportswear introduced us the Air Max 90 Current Moire which offered a lightweight experience by hybridizing the Nike Free sole as well as the one-piece upper. As time goes by, another new technology “Torch†occurred. Torch is a lightweight, moisture-managing, supremely comfortable three-layer textile. The outer layer features a visually stunning, protective diamond pattern that holds its shape and won’t crease at stress points like traditional materials. Torch is widely used on Nike running shoes in 2010, we have seen the hybrid Air Maxim 1, Air 180, Air Classic BW, Rejuven8 are all using torch to take advantage of its ultra lightweight textile. It’s time for the classic Air Max 90, the first two basic colorways are included in the debut line-up in this Summer. In Spring of 2010, the Air Max 90 Current Moire will be “seamlessly†re-integrated into the Nike Sportswear lineup. Using a one-piece construction technique, this shoe is designed to fit and look like its multi-piece brother. At first glance, this Air Max 90 Current Moire looks like a standard Current, as it has all the standard signs. On this model though, all the markings are printed on, and not actually stitched. Lime green is used around the Air Max bubble and for the Swoosh, while a deep navy (though it looks grey) comprises the majority of the upper. The dotted design covering the shoe is done in a lighter grey.
